Alcohol prices set for increase
31 May 2022 by Simon Alden
As of the 1st June, our alcohol prices will increase. As people may be aware, the alcohol companies increase the price every 6 months rain hail or shine, in Feb and Sept each year. We have not passed these on for 2 years and coupled with other price increases for things like freight, labour and overheads like electricity, gas and water, our committee have taken the view it is overdue for a price hike.
The changes are outlines below –
TAP BEER (middy price changes only, pints have also increased)
Mid strength beers – $5.00 (Hahn SD, Great Northern, Somersby, Iron Jack)
Heavy strength beers – $5.20 (Carlton Dry, Swan Draught, 150 Lashes, Carlton draught)
Exotics – $6.50 (Balter, Ginger Beer)
PACKAGE BEER – all up 10c
SPIRITS CANS – unchanged (except Wild Turkey, up to $9.50 per can)
WINE – unchanged
